Sudeep—who is one of the biggest stars in Kannada cinema—will soon be making his Hollywood debut with Australian filmmaker Eddie Arya’s ‘Risen’. And, as expected, this has created a buzz amongst his die-hard fans. During a recent chat with a leading daily, Eddie got candid about Deepanna’s role in the film and said that he will be playing an Indian character who is based of New York. The director went on to add that the Kannada heartthrob will not be shooting India at all.
“Sudeep’s character is that of an Indian who is based in New York. His portions will be shot in New York soon. The choice of keeping an Indian character was a conscious decision to add to the diversity of the characters,” he added.
The director also revealed that the makers will be releasing the first look of Sudeep’s character pretty soon.
“We also shot for his first look for the film, which we plan to release on social media and to the press soon,” said Eddie.
