During a recently held press conference, Kannada megastar Shivarajkumar praised Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and said that the ‘Khiladi’ has earned his respect by constantly experimenting with his image, doing meaningful cinema along the way. He went on to add that one can be considered a complete actor only if he/she does all types of films.
“He (Akshay Kumar) started as an action hero and now he has transformed himself into one of the finest actors. Look at his films Toilet Ek Prem Katha or Padman. I personally had the opportunity to work in all kinds of genres. I worked in films like Jogi and even tried ones like Ammarava Ganda and Anna Thangi, and have been part of novel-based films. I have worked in action as well as family entertainers. Only if I act in all genres, I will feel complete as an actor,” he added.
Well, these are some nice words and are bound to go down well with fans.
On the work front, SRK was last seen in the recently-released Tagaru and delivered a robust act. A thriller, it features him in the role of a cop and has been produced by KP Srikanth. Bhavana and Manvitha play the leading ladies while the supporting cast includes names like Devaraj.
A few days ago, Bhavana had said that working with Shivanna was a nice experience for her.
“One thing I noticed then is that the Rajkumar household comprises warm and down-to-earth people. When I then got to work with Shivanna on Tagaru, it was lovely. He is very excited when he is on set, and that is quite infectious. There would be days when I would land up on the set in the morning a bit moody. But then watching him move around changes your mood in a jiffy and you aspire to be like him,” she had told TOI.
