Kannada top star Kichcha Sudeep has geared up for the shooting of his much-talked film, Phailwan. The film will see the actor in a role of a boxer for which he has been prepping up since a very long time. The actor is training hard for the film being directed by S Krishna. The film also stars Aakanksha Singh as the female lead, Suniel Shetty in a pivotal role and Kabir Duhan Singh as an antagonist. Well, now there’s a new addition to the cast.
Popular television presenter and actor Sushant Singh, who has featured in few Telugu films is all set to make his Sandalwood debut with Sudeep-starrer Phailwan. The actor will be seen as an antagonist in the film and reportedly has started for this role.
Meanwhile, the shooting of the film will begin from May. Sudeep is leaving no stone unturned to get into the shape for his role of a boxer. The first look of Sudeep was revealed last year on his birthday. To be produced by RRR Motion Pictures, the film will have music by Arjun Janya.
Sudeep is training with Jeet Devaiah over the past few months. Earlier in a statement, director Krishna said, “Jeeth Devaiah has been training the actor over the past few weeks, and in another three more weeks Sudeep will have his body toned. We plan to start shoot from end of March or either first week of April.”
“He will be doing a structured three-week-long course in parts. We felt that this will help him ease into the sport, to familiarize him with the basics of wrestling and boxing. Sudeep too felt that it would help him act as that character better,” the director added further.
More details about the film are awaited and an announcement is expected to be made very soon.
