As we all know, in 1998, New York-based actress Chandini made her big screen debut when she starred opposite Upendra in his much-loved film ‘A’ and added a new dimension to her professional life. Now, nearly 20 years later, she has collaborated with ‘Uppi’ once again. As it so happens, she recently shot for the Kannada superstar’s latest big screen outing ‘Upendra Mathe Banda’. And, needless to say, she enjoyed herself a lot. Sharing her experience, she told a leading daily that Upendra treated her quite well on the sets of their film.
“Being on the set was pretty much déjà vu, in the sense that I felt both of us have not changed much as human beings as well as with regard to the way we look. Yes, we have had our share of experiences since then — personally, back then, I was this kid who had never seen the world of cinema, to now when I have years of experience in every department of filmmaking, including distribution. The assistant director on the team of A is making this new film, so coming to this set was like returning home. The environment and ambience was just as friendly as it was back then,” she added.
In case you did not know, ‘A’ was touted to be a psychological romantic-drama and did well at the box office. It was directed by Upendra himself and featured some lifting music Gurukiran.
On a related note, ‘Upendra Mathe Banda’ features Chandini in a guest role and is likely to create a buzz in the industry upon release.
