There has been a lot of tittle-tattle around the 50th film of Challenging Star Darshan. One of them was that Darshan will work with his brother Dinakar Thoogudeep on a film titled ‘Sarvantaryami’. That did not materialise, though. A couple of months later, reports started pouring that director Tharun Sudhir will helm the 50th film of the Challenging Star. This one did not go on floors too. After a lot of cooling period, now it is officially confirmed that ‘Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna‘ director Naganna will collaborate with Darshan for his 50th.
Speaking to the media Naganna confirms, “Yes, it is Darshan’s 50th film and it will see him playing Duryodhana. We’ve still finalised the rest of the casting. We can also confirm that Ambareesh will be playing Bheeshma in the film.” Reports indicate that the title of the film will be ‘Kurukshetra’ since it is an adaptation of Mahabharata. Darshan is busy shooting for the film ‘Taarak’ which is being directed by Milana Prakash. Naganna also confirms that the actor will join ‘Kurukshetra’ after he completes shooting for ‘Taarak’ and they plan to release the film by the end of 2017.
Darshan is known for his powerful dialogue delivery and intense acting prowess. We hope ‘Kurukshetra’ is his 50th flick and goes on floors as planned by the makers.
