Sandalwood actor Karthik Vikram will soon be making his debut in films with Nagavalli Vs Apthamithraru and is currently working on the post production works of the film. Karthik was attacked by unidentified men in Bengaluru a day ago late in the night. Reports reveal that Karthik was assaulted and his belongings including his phone and car. Television reports indicate that the actor was attacked by eight unidentified men who took away all his valuable belongings. Karthik Vikram is said to be have been attacked in Basaveshwar Nagar of Bengaluru at around 11: 30 PM on Tuesday. Karthik Vikram is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bengaluru and is said to have sustained injuries on his head and ears. Police officials are yet to ascertain if it is a case of theft or it was a planned attack on Karthik Vikram. More details about the incident are yet to be known.
Karthik Vikram is said to be out of danger at the present and police officials will take his statement after the doctors clear him for that. This incident brings memories back of a recent incident where the son of a politician had assaulted a young man at a popular mall in Bengaluru and the victim is still said to be recovering.
Nagavalli Vs Apthamithraru will mark Karthik Vikram’s debut in acting and is said to be a sequel of Apthamithra. The film was earlier said to have been titled Apthamithra 2, but the makers decided to change it to Nagavalli Vs Apthamithraru for reasons unknown. The first part, Apthamithra, starred Soundarya and Vishnuvardhan in important roles, and is one of the biggest hits in Kannada cinema. The film was later remade into Tamil titled Chandramukhi starring Rajinikanth in the lead role and dubbed into Telugu with the same title as well.
