Kannada actor Upendra names his political party ‘Karnataka Pragnyavantha Janatha Paksha’

The actor inaugurated the party at Gandhi Bhavan in Bengaluru today and made the announcement official.

Sandalwood Upendra had announced few months ago that will he foray into politics soon. Upendra had released an audio clipping to the media confirming that the party will be floated soon and has been thinking about this for a long time now. Upendra also stated that his party will be corruption free and will ensure fair governance. And accordingly, Upendra has now officially launched his party and has named the party as ‘Karnataka Pragnyavantha Janatha Paksha’. The actor inaugurated the party at Gandhi Bhavan in Bengaluru today and made the announcement official. Interacting with the media, Upendra said that he has only setup a platform for people.

I have just created a platform for you. Those who are passionate about the cause can join me. It has always been my dream to make a change,” Upendra was quoted as saying by TNM. “Our work towards helping create a better society is important. Not the person who is working towards it. The bigger goal is what matters,” Upendra added further.

KPJP will focus on basic and important needs of people and will work rigorously towards it, the Uppi actor said. “This is an appeal. If anyone shares our objectives and have ideas to help realise these objectives can come join us,” Upendra said.

Speaking about the upcoming elections, Upendra said, “You may say that there are only six months for the elections and that we may not win. Making an effort to bring in change is important. Giving up is not a choice.”
