Kannada remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s Arjun Reddy to feature Yash in the lead role?

According to emerging reports, top South Indian film producer Rockline Venkatesh has showed interest in acquiring the remake rights for Kannada.

Vijay Deverkonda’s latest release Arjun Reddy has grabbed a lot of attention across all the Indian film industries including Bollywood. It is being speculated now that Arjun Reddy might be remade in Bollywood with Ranveer Singh in Bollywood after the actor watched the film recently. Story of a heart-broken man who goes through an emotional ride post breakup, Arjun Reddy is one of the latest sensations in Tollywood. And it is now being reported that Arjun Reddy will be remade in Kannada too.

According to emerging reports, top South Indian film producer Rockline Venkatesh has showed interest in acquiring the remake rights for Kannada. It is also being reported that the producer wants to cast popular actor Yash in the Kannada remake of Arjun Reddy and soon something should be finalised, reports indicate. However, nothing official has been announced by makers about the remake.

Arjun Reddy will be remade in Tamil and the rights have been acquired by actor-producer Dhanush. The film will be made under Dhanush’s home banner Wunderbar Films, however, it is not clear yet if the actor himself would feature in the remake. It is being speculated that Dhanush, who has played raw and rustic roles in his career before, seems to be the best bet for the role of Arjun Reddy in the remake.

Directed by Sandeep Vanga, Arjun Reddy was made on a very low budget, however the collections of the film have been towering high specially at the US box office. The Indian box office collected an earnings of INR 27 crores and the US box is at approx. INR 10 crores, making it the highest ever in lead actor Vijay Deverakonda’s career.
