Kannada TV Host Chandan passes away in a road accident; celebs mourn the death

It is a black day in the Kannada television industry as we have lost one of the most loved and talented Kannada TV anchor Chandrashekhar (34), who was popularly known as Chandan. Chandan was travelling with three other friends from the industry. Chandan and his other friend killed in the car accident while other two are injured badly.

Kannada TV anchor Chandrashekhar (34), who was popularly known as Chandan, passed away in a road accident in Hanagavadi near Harihara in Davangere district in Karnataka. In a shocking accident, the popular host passed away yesterday morning. Chandan was travelling in a car with three other television actors who have sustained minor injuries. In a speedy car in which Chandan was travelling hit the parked lorry, which killed the two on the spot.

According to media reports, he was travelling towards Hubballi with his friends. Unfortunately, he met with the tragic accident. The condition of the injured other two (Ramu and Sunitha) is critical. The injured are currently being treated at a private hospital in Davanagere.

Meanwhile, the police are investigating the matter and more details about the accident are awaited.

Popular TV host Anushree, Tharun Sudhir and few others took to social media to express grief over the death of the host.

Filmmaker Tharun Sudhir has expressed his condolence on Twitter and wrote, “One of the most talented anchor, a very humble n good hearted friend Chandhan is no more…May his soul rest in peace..#RIPChandan #Shocking #plsdrivecarefully. [sic]”

Chandan was one of the most vouched for hosts on Kannada television. His ability to speak the language in its purest form had earned him many accolades from the south industry.

RIP Chandan!
