The superhit Bollywood film Queen featuring Kangana Ranaut and directed by Vikas Bahl is now being remade in Kannada. The film is titled Butterfly and is being directed popular actor-director Ramesh Aravind. The remake stars Parul Yadav in the lead role. The shooting of Butterfly began on Parul Yadav’s birthday, June 5, with the cast and crew celebrating both the occasions.

It’s the most overwhelming feeling that I get to start this very important film of my career on my birthday. It has been a wonderful journey so far, but I am really looking forward to this new chapter that will unfold in my life,” said Parul Yadav to a news agency.

Interestingly, Amy Jackson will also be a part of Butterfly and reprise the role originally played by Lisa Haydon. The rest of the cast film is yet to be announced by the makers of the film.

Queen was a milestone in the career of Kangana Ranaut in Bollywood and Parul Yadav hopes that Butterfly will turn out to be a successful one for her too. Parul was last seen in Jessie in Kannada, which was a decent affair at the box office.

After making her debut in 2004 with Dreams in Tamil, Parul Yadav has had a steady career with films like Killing Veerappan directed by Ram Gopal Varma and Bachchan alongside Kiccha Sudeep. Besides the remake of Queen, Parul Yadav also has Cottonpete, Vijayaditya and Seizer in her kitty, which are currently being shot.
