Parvathamma Rajkumar hospitalised in Bengaluru; Hospital says she is critical

The producer of many Kannada films complained of giddiness and breathing problems, and was rushed to the hospital immediately.

Parvathamma Rajkumar, the wife of actor late Dr. Rajkumar, has been hospitalised in Bengaluru. Parvathamma complained of giddiness and fatigue after which she was rushed to the hospital. The hospital officials say that she has breathing problems because of which the next 24-48 hours will be crucial. Parvathamma’s sons, Shiva Rajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar, are at the hospital taking care of the situation. A team of five specialists are said to be monitoring Parvathamma’s condition.

The doctors at the hospital said, “Her condition is critical and she has been kept on a ventilator. She will be under observation for the next 24-48 hours.” Her son, Shiva Rajkumar added that her diabetes and blood pressure are under control and she should be fine after the breathing problem comes down. “There are no reasons to panic or worry. Her health status is better today, compared to yesterday,” added the doctors MS Ramaiah Hospital.

Parvathamma has produced numerous films under their home banner, Poornima Enterprises, which include films of Dr. Rajkumar and their sons, Shiva Rajkumar and Puneet Rajkumar. Many actresses including Malashri, Prema, Rakshita, Sudha Rani and Ramya started their acting career under their production house.

Shiva Rajkumar has a release coming up on May 26, 2017, which is Bangara S/0 Bangarada Manushya. It is unclear still whether his film will release as per the schedule or if there will be any changes if any unforeseen incidents happen in the meanwhile. Fans of Shiva Rajkumar have made enormous arrangements for the release of the film with huge cut-outs and garlands.
