Actor-filmmaker Ramesh Arvind is a busy man these days with the remakes of Bollywood hit Queen in Kannada and Tamil staring Parul Yadav and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. The makers have wrapped up most parts of the film expect for few songs and episodes which are expected to be wrapped up before the first half of the year. While all this is happening, Ramesh Arvind has signed on two films as an actor and has stared shooting for one of them. The versatile actor will be seen playing a cop in one of the films which will be directed by Shri Jai who earlier had made Rx Suri with Dunia Vijay. The film is yet to be titled and will be a supernatural thriller. “I was quite convinced by Shri Jai’s conviction and begin shooting on Friday till the end of the month. I have also agreed to be a part of Imran Sardhariya’s next directorial,” Ramesh Arvind was quoted say saying by TOI.
Ramesh Arvind was last seen in the 2017 release Pushpaka Vimana which was directed by S.Ravindranath. Pushpaka Vimana was Ramesh Arvind’s 100th film as an actor and also starred Bollywood actor Juhi Chawla in an important role. The film is said to be an adaptation of a South Korean film titled Miracle in Cell No. 7. Ramesh Arvind also has a Tamil film titled Machan which has, however, not been released yet. The film was slated to be released in 2017 but has been delayed due to reasons unknown.
Besides the remakes of Queen in Kannada and Tamil, Ramesh Arvind has directed many films including the acclaimed film Uttama Villain staring Kamal Haasan. Ramesh Arvind also directed the Kannada remake of Telugu hit film Bhale Bhale Magadivoy which has actor Nani in the lead role which is titled Sundaranga Jaana in Kannada.
