Rana Daggubati is at the peak of his career after the stupendous success of Baahubali 2. Rana acted in a couple of Telugu and Hindi movies like Ghazi and Baby while shooting for Baahubali 2. These films were successful outings too for the vibrant actor. Rana is one of the few actors who has acted in multiple languages which include Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Recent reports suggest that the Baahubali 2 actor will now foray into Kannada films too.
Reports are emerging that Rana Daggubati will be donning the role of a CBI officer in Kannada film which is titled The Human Bomb. The story of the film is said to be that of the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. In 2016, filmmaker Ramesh and Veerappan Attahasa had announced this prestigious project but could not get it rolling immediately due to unknown reasons. “The formal announcement should be made in a week from now when the final modalities are worked out,” a source was quoted in a leading daily.
Director Ramesh has been doing extensive research on this story and told a leading daily, “I have closely followed the assassination and the developments and have travelled abroad to various places like Sri Lanka, US, Canada, Malaysia and Singapore, where various people from the LTTE added more information to my research. Similarly, I have also been in touch with various police officers who have been involved with the case and they have shared a lot of trivia and inputs in confidence. It is this research, which has spanned over many years, which has led to this script.”
In fact, Rana was in Bengaluru a few days ago attending an event in a popular mall and buzz is that the makers of the film met Rana to complete the formalities. Ravi Kale, who played the role of Sivarasan in Cyanide, will reprise the role in this film too.
