Legendary actor and former MP Ambareesh passed away on Saturday night in Bengaluru after suffering from a massive cardiac arrest.

Legendary actor and former MP Ambareesh passed away on Saturday night after suffering from a massive cardiac arrest. Known are the ‘Rebel Star’ of the industry, the veteran actor breathed his last in Bengaluru on Saturday at the age of 66. Ambareesh was rushed to the hospital on Saturday night soon after he collapsed at his home in Bengaluru. He was rushed to Vikram Hospital but passed away shortly after he was brought to the hospital of a massive cardiac arrest. “Despite all aggressive resuscitation efforts, Amabreesh could not be revived and is declared deceased at 22.15 on 24.11.2018,” read the statement by the hospital.

It’s end of an era! Fans and celebs are totally shattered with this heartbreaking news. The demise of the legendary actor has gone viral on social media. Celebs from the film industry have been paying their last respect to Ambareesh on twitter. Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal, Allu Arjun and many others took to Twitter to mourn the death of the Kannada star. Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter and wrote, “grieved to learn of the passing of a colleague Ambareesh .. condolences and prayers ..” The megastar had featured in Ambareesh’ remade film Chakravyuha. The film was remade into Hindi as Inquilaab, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted, “Shri Ambareesh will always be remembered for his memorable performances as an actor and extensive contribution to politics. He was a strong voice for Karnataka’s welfare, at the state and central level. Pained by his demise. Condolences to his family & admirers”

Ambareesh won the national award for his debut film Naagarahaavu in 1972 and was known as ‘Rebel star’. He served as a union minister in the UPA government led by Manmohan Singh and was an MP from 1998-99, 1999-2004 and 2004-2009

Ambareesh developed breathing problems in 2014 and since then he was hospitalized frequently. In the same year in March, he was taken to Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital for treatment

    he was recently sidelined by congress party and rahul. check the utube video, where he is asked to go in the background of stage.. and let rahul and others take the front stage.
