Almost more than 77 days since its release and Shivarajkumar, Manvitha Harish, Dhananjaya and Vasishta N Simha starrer Tagaru is still ruling the Box Office. Tagaru sees Shivarajkumar playing a role of a cop while Dhananjaya is seen as the antagonist. The performance of the star cast is winning the hearts of the audience and looks like there is no stopping anytime soon. The film has got some fantastic reviews from the critics and audience alike. The film is leaving its impact felt at the Box Office and is all set to become one of the biggest hits of Kannada cinema. Tagaru had got an earth-shattering opening and had released to 350 screens in India. In just four days, the film managed to make Rs 20 crore approx, which is an achievement that no movie in Sandalwood has achieved.
The film that released on February 23, is all set to complete 100 days run. Of course, this will be no surprise with the trend that the film is continuing at the Box Office. Directed by Duniya Soori, the film marks his second-time collaboration with Shivanna after Kadupiddi.
Talking to Bangalore Mirror, the film’s distributor Jayanna said: “The film is set to complete 100 days in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Hassan, Shivamogga, Davangere and Mandya. In Bengaluru, it will complete 100 days in Santhosh and Veeresh and probably Siddalingeshwara. As of now, I see it completed 100 days in 8 to 9 single screens and 5 to 6 multiplexes.”
The film also stars Dhananjay, Vasishta Simha, Manvitha Harish, Bhavana Menon, Devaraj and others in prominent roles. Lyricist Jayanth Kaikini and composer Charan Raj make a guest appearance in a song.
Tagaru is about a cop, played by Shivarajkumar, who is on a mission to clear the baddies in the society, one of them played by Dhananjaya. The film has enough of suspense to keep you on the edge of the seat.
