Kannada top star Shivarajkumar’s Tagaru hit the screens on Friday, 23rd, February 2018 and had a grand release in theatres. Directed by Suri, Tagaru has Shivarajkumar playing a cop, again, and Dhananjaya as the antagonist. The film has received mixed response from all around with few urabn centers witnessing good response over the weekend. Fans of the star are reportedly unhappy with few scenes where the antagonist uses abusive language against Shivarajkumar. This has led to mixed response at the box office but has stayed steady at many centers. According to latest reports, Tagaru has clocked approximately Rs.6.9 crores over the first three days. Tagaru had clocked approximately Rs.3.5 crores on day 1 across Karnataka and few places in Andhra Pradesh. Experts are predicting that it may get better as reports about the film are positive.
Directed by Suri, Tagaru has Shiva Rajkumar playing a cop yet again. However, what has been done differently is that the narration of the story. It’s the routine cop-rowdy story that Tagaru boosts of however, it’s the way it is told that has made the audience love it. Dhananjaya as the menacing bad guy makes a huge impact. Despite being a run of the mill story, Tagaru is drawing audiences to the theatre. Devraj, Bhavana and Manvita have shorter length roles however they do contribute to the narrative. Overall, Tagaru seems to have connected well with the audience and seems to be turning out to be a hit.
Tagaru also stars Bhavana and Manvitha in important roles and the actors will be seen playing sisters in the film. Bhavana plays the love interest of Shivarajkumar and will be portraying a doctor in Tagaru. Actor Bhavana says that she has no qualms in acting in films where she doesn’t have much in it. However, talking about Tagaru, she does say that it was a lovely experience working with Shiva Rajkumar.
