These days Bollywood filmmakers are picking up a trend of remaking South Indian remakes. Of course, moviegoers can enjoy the offerings of both Bollywood and the South Indian film industry. According to reports, Bollywood is coming with a Hindi remake of a Malayalam film Premam. Reportedly, none other than Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor has been roped in for the Hindi remake of the film. To be directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film will have three female leads in the movie who are yet to be finalised. However, no official confirmation regarding the same has been made yet.
2015 film, Premam has become one of the popular films over the years. The unconventional love story was directed by Alphonse Puthren starring Nivin Pauly. The film is about a romantic journey and its great to know that Arjun Kapoor will be seen playing another light-hearted role.
On the Bollywood front, apart from Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Panipat’, Arjun Kapoor is also working on films like ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ and ‘Namaste England’ opposite Parineeti Chopra.
Coming back to Bollywood picking up South Indian films for the remake; reportedly Shah Rukh Khan might feature in the Hindi remake of popular Tamil flick Vikram Vedha. However, the actor has put two conditions before taking up this remake project, which originally starred R. Madhavan. The Hindi remake will be produced by Y Not Studios and Plan C Sudios which is a collaboration of Reliance Entertainment, and Neeraj Pandey and Shital Bhatia’s Friday Filmworks.
Well, there is no official confirmation regarding the same. However, it this turns true, we are highly excited to see Shah Rukh Khan and Madhavan coming together on screen for the first time. The Tamil film Vikram Vedha revolves around a ruthless cop, who wages war against an unscrupulous gangster. It’s a thriller based on the mythical tale of King Vikramadityan and the Bethal.
