Kamal Haasan

During a recent interaction with the media, actor Kamal Haasan had spoken about the Malayalam actress assault case and ended up revealing the lady’s name. He had gone on to justify his actions by saying that there was no point in hiding her name.

“Do not hide the name as there is nothing wrong with it. If you want to call her Draupadi, call her that. Don’t refer to her as ‘a female,” he had added.

Now, it seems that Kamal’s actions have landed him in a soup. According to a leading website, the NCW have sent the veteran actor a notice and asked him to explain his actions. In the meanwhile, security has already been beefed up at Haasan’s residence.

Interestingly, this could not have happened at a worse time for Haasan. Recently, a Tamil Nadu-based groupasked for a ban on his show ‘Bigg Boss’. Moreover, they asked the authorities to arrest the ‘Ulaga Nayagan’. As such, the new development is bound to add to his worries.

In case you did not know, this February, a Malayalam actress was assaulted while travelling to Kochi. This created a buzz in the industry and soon popular actor Dileep came under the radar. Earlier this week, the cops called the star for questioning and arrested him thereafter.

Following this, some Malayalam stars attended an emergency meeting of AMMA and removed Dileep from the organisation. To make matters worse, he was soon expelled from his owm syndicate Film Exhibitors United Organization of Kerala. All in all, many in the industry have distanced themselves from Dileep.
