Veteran filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan recently opened up about the current situation involving Malayalam star Dileep and said that he is not a ‘stone-hearted person’. Moreover, he asked all concerned to be a bit patient and let the law take its own course.
“Dileep, as a person known to me, is neither an underworld don nor a stone-hearted person. I’m not the authority to pronounce him guilty or innocent. It is the task of the court,” he told a leading magazine.
Dileep and Adoor share a lovely professional rapport. Sometime back, they had collaborated for a film titled ‘Pinneyum’ and given fans a reason to rejoice. Released in 2016, it also featured Kavya Madhavan in the lead and revolved around the struggles of an unemployed family man.
In case you did not know, this February, a noted actress was molested and assaulted while on her way to Kochi. This incident created a buzz in the industry and soon AMMA organised a protest meet to condemn what had happened. At the event, Manju Warrier said that there was some kind of conspiracy behind the kidnapping. Dileep came under the radar when the main accused Pulsar Suni tried reaching out to him from prison.
Earlier this week, the cops called him for questioning and arrested him, thereafter. Post his arrest, he was sentenced to 14 days in judicial custody. Following this, Dileep was expelled from AMMA as well as his own body FEOUK. In other words, his alleged involvement in the abduction case has taken a toll on personal/professional life.
