‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’ is one of the most anticipated for films in Malayalam cinema which will have Nivin Pauly essaying the role of a thief/dacoit in the 19th Century. Directed by Roshan Andrews, ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’ also starred Amala Paul in the lead. However, according to latest developments, Amala Paul has opted out of ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’ and the makers have now roped in Priya Anand as the lead actress in the film. Amala Paul had to opt out of ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’ due to date issues and couldn’t accommodate the schedules of the shooting, according to latest reports.
Amala Paul confirmed that she wasn’t able to give bulk dates for ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’ and hence decided to opt out of the film in the best interest of everyone. After this development, the makers of ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’ decided to rope in Priya Anand for the role replacing Amala Paul in the film.
The first look of ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’ was recently released by Suriya and Jyothika in Chennai which was attended by the lead actor Nivin Pauly too.
Amala Paul recently had a release in Tamil, Thiruttu Payale 2, which also starred Bobby Simha and Prasanna in other lead roles. Amala Paul also has ‘Bhaskar Oru Rascal’ which also stars Arvind Swami in the other lead role.
