After Bicycle Thief and Sunday Holiday, Asif Ali and director Jis Joy to come together for Vijay Superum Paurnamiyum.

Asif Ali and Mamta Mohandas will be playing lead roles in Vijay Superum Paurnamiyum. Filmmaker Lal Jose announced the movie at an event at Muscat. Siddique, Renji Panicker and Shanti Krishna are playing important roles in the movie. According to Jis, the movie will handle a subject of relevance.

Joy told a leading daily, “It has a very strong message, but the narrative is laced with humour. It won’t be preachy at all. The movie will be a feel-good one,” says the director. Though the movie will be a romantic comedy, there won’t be intense romantic angle, rather a togetherness.’’

This will be the third movie when Asif and Jis would be collaborating. They have earlier worked together in Bicycle Thief and Sunday Holiday, where the former was a comedy thriller and the latter, a rom-com. Asif Ali will be sharing the screen with Mamta after a gap of eight years. The two starred in Sathyan Anthikad’s Kadha Thudarunu which had released in the year 2010 and was a hit.

Director Jis Joy is considered as one of the most promising filmmakers with his unique style and an entertainment factor in it. His last two films marked a turning point in his career.

Sunday holiday had earned praises from the audience as well as the critics. Adding to this, the movie ran for 100 days in theatres and is considered one of the best movies of Asif Ali. With Vijay Superum Paurnamiyum the expectations have just gone higher with the actor-director duo teaming up, grabbing all the attention of their fans.

Mamta Mohandas was last seen in Carbon along with Fahadh Fazil. Meanwhile, Asif is currently busy with Mandaram, in which he will be sporting five looks portraying each stage of the protagonist’s life. He has finished shooting for BTech, and is set to collaborate with Director Rohith VS for the movie titled Iblis opposite Madonna Sebastian.
