Director Bejoy Nambiar just took to Twitter and stated that the producers of his recently-released ‘Solo’ changed its ending without his knowledge or consent. However, at the same time, he added that he is proud of the film he had made and would stand by it.
“For all those asking about the changed ending. It has been done without my knowledge and consent. Good or Bad I stand by the film I made,” he added.
The climax was apparently altered yesterday and received a lot of criticism from moviegoers. It will be worth watching how it affects Solo’s prospects in the days to come.
In case you did not know,’ Solo’ is a romantic-thriller and features Malayalam heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. He plays four different characters in the film. An anthology of four stories, it has been shot simultaneously in Tamil-Malayalam. The Tamil version could play in theatres for only one day before being pulled down because of the ongoing strike.
Interestingly, sometime ago, Bejoy had said that he enjoyed working with Dulquer as he is an easy person to direct.
“Dulquer is a terrific guy to work with and an effortless actor. I enjoyed the experience of jamming and working with him a lot,” he had told Pinkvilla South.
Besides DQ, ‘Solo’ also features Bollywood star Neha Sharma, Shruthi Hariharan and Sai Dhanshika in the lead.
