Box Office: With mixed reviews, My Story starring Prithviraj and Parvathy has a below average run

My Story Trailer: Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy make a fab pair in this Roshni Dinakar debut directorial

Prithviviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy TK starrer My Story released yesterday, July 6th, 2018 and received mixed reviews from all around. A romantic saga, My Story portrays two love stories set in different time periods running parallelly in the screenplay. Expectations on My Story were quite high given the star cast, however, the film failed to impress e audiences. While the reviews and response from general audience were mixed, My Story has a below average run at the box office. The first day of My Story in Kerala witnessed a collection of approximately Rs.2.2 crores which includes the rest of the states and overseas contribution as well. The final reports of collections of day 1 of My Story are yet to be confirmed by the makers.

My Story is being termed as a below average film with many netizens terming is a pathetic story to watch. Many industry insiders opine that the film may fail to collect even the budget of the film which is said to be approximately Rs.16 crores. Directed by Roshni Dinaker, My Story is said to be a slow paced romantic story which doesn’t engage audiences because of the screenplay, netizens opine.

Ganesh Venkatraman, Sunny Wayne, Nandhu, Manoj K Jayan, Maniyanpilla Raju and Praveen Anidil too are seen playing important roles in My Story. The music of My Story is composed by Shaan Rahman while the story is penned by Shankar Ramakrishnan. Roshni Dinaker, who has worked as a stylist for several Malayalam movies, will turn to direction with My Story, besides handling the styling the film. The shooting of My Story was delayed for a long time because of date clashes of Prithviraj Sukumaran between My Story and Anjali Menon’s yet-to-be-titled film. The situation got resolved after the Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce intervened and spoke with both the parties.
