South Indian actors Amala Paul and Fahadh Faasil have found themselves in a controversy regarding the registration of their luxury vehicles at a different address from their actual residences. The situation has now taken an ugly turn and FIR has been registered against Amala Paul and Fahadh Faasil. The actors have been summoned to appear in front of police officials regarding the case but they failed to appear which has now resulted in police cases being filed against them. The cases were filed after the police ascertained that the actors had forged documents to evade tax in their registrations. It was being reported that the actors registered their cars in Puducherry and showed their address there so that the tax is lesser instead of their actual residences in Kerala.
A month ago, Amala Paul had said that she has every right to buy a car anywhere in India and had issued a statement which read – “I feel I have the right to speak against these unwanted speculations and harassment caused to me and my family, despite paying taxes of more than a crore this year alone. And especially now, even when the respective authorities have found no unlawful act on my part.” Amala Paul and Fahadh Faasil are yet to react to the cases and speak out on the issue. Police officials have now summoned the actors with regards to the case and the actors need to appear in front of the officials in he case to avoid further action.
