Actor Dileep was sent to police custody by the court after he was arrested by the police in connection with the Malayalam actress custody case. The police had filed for the custody of the actor for five days after the arrest while Dileep’s lawyer filed for an anticipatory bail. The court had rejected his bail and sent him to police custody for two days.
Today, the court heard the bail plea from the lawyer of Dileep and rejected the bail plea. Dileep is now sent to jail till July 25th by the court which means the actor will have to now approach the high court for a bail.
Special Public Prosecutor Advocate A.Suresan spoke to the media outside the court today and said, “We told the Angamaly court magistrate that he may try to influence witnesses. There is clear evidence against Dileep. If he is given bail, there is apprehension that even the victim will be affected.”
These developments put actor Dileep in a troubled condition sine a rejected bail plea will always run the risk of getting rejected at a higher court again. Dileep will remain in police custody till July 25th as per the court’s order.
The police brought him to the court for the bail plea hearing and took him back to the Aluva sub jail. The police had to bring Dileep back again to the court to get the passwords of his phones which were locked. The police team will now inspect the phones and check for further evidences.
