The recently released teaser of Dulquer Salmaan’s eagerly-awaited ‘Solo’ has created quite a buzz amongst fans thanks to its impressive presentation and gripping visual appeal. Moreover, it has grabbed eyeballs because it begins with a shot of the young star on a bike. Interestingly, DQ is no stranger to such scenes. He has been seen riding a bike in films such as ‘Bangalore Days’ and ‘Chauvanna Bhoomi’.
During a recent interaction with a leading daily, director Bejoy Nambiar said that DQ was initially supposed to ride an army jeep in ‘Solo’. However, they decided to change it to a bike as it seemed more appropriate.
“When we wrote the script, the bike was not even in the reckoning. Dulquer was supposed to be driving an army jeep. But when we visualised it, it kind of didn’t fall in place. And when guys go on a road trip, they usually prefer bikes. So, we changed the vehicle from a jeep to a bullet. It was only later that we realised Dulquer has been riding bikes in his movies and they had been received well, too,” he added.
Well, we are quite happy about this co-incidence as we love to see Dulquer on a bike. In case you did not know, ‘Solo’ is touted to be romantic-thriller and has been shot in Tamil and Malayalam. Besides Dulquer, it features Neha Sharma in the lead.
On a related note, this is an eventful time for DQ. Besides ‘Solo’, he has the Savitri biopic in his kitty. He will be playing a character based on the great Gemini Ganesan in this Keerthy Suresh starrer.
