The Complete Actor Mohanlal was last seen in ‘Villain’ which is an investigative thriller and is directed by B.Unnikrishnan. The film also stars Manju Warrier, Vishal, Hansika Motwani and Raashi Khanna in important roles. The film opened to a positive response one first day but the next few days saw the box office numbers go down. Director B.Unnikrishnan has held the media reviews for the dull response to the film and said that the media is entangled in paid reviews system. Speaking to a leading Malayalam channel, B.Unnikrishnan lashed out the media reports on the film and the reviews given by few.

There is no film that has satisfied everyone. I read many reviews and I found them pathetic. I have done film reviews in the past very seriously,” told Manorama news recently. Reacting to one of the reviews which pointed out Manju Warrier’s character, the director said, “That’s completely wrong. Her character buys a property and later tells her husband what she will be doing in that place. Her character has so much individuality. If they don’t understand the film, is it our problem?

Many South Indian stars have slammed many reviewers and have said that they at least need to give three days for the film to be screened before they give a review. Recently, Telugu top star Jr.NTR also slammed few reviewers for the way they had reviewed his latest release ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ and said they are being very harsh. NTR also added that people writing these reviews do not have any filmmaking experience and point out elements which they wouldn’t even have an idea about.
