During a recent interaction with TOI, Dulquer Salmaan opened up about personal life and said that his dad Mammootty does not interfere with his work as he wants him to follow his own strategy. He went on to add that Malayalam cinema’s resident ‘Best Actor’ does not talk about his films a lot as he does not want him to become arrogant.
“He expects me to have a separate strategy as an actor. He has never interfered or meddled with my choice of films or my decisions. He wants me to learn from my mistakes, grow and own up to my mistakes. He doesn’t talk too much about my films because I think he doesn’t want me to get overconfident,” he added.
Besides this, DQ opened up about becoming a dad and said that the feeling is still sinking in. He further added that he loves observing his daughter and that she is one of the big reasons that likes spending time at home.
“I observe her very closely and her every move, even when she sleeps. My parents had been very paranoid and now, I know why they were like that. I have a feeling that I will also turn out to be a paranoid father. I also see myself pushing a little more to be fit and look like a young, cool dad,” added Dulquer.
Well, that is a sweet revelation and is bound to make us love Dulquer even more. On the work front, DQ will next be seen in the romantic-thriller ‘Solo’. It has been directed by Bejoy Nambiar and also features Neha Sharma-Sai Dhansika in the lead. Besides ‘Solo’, he also has the Savitri biopic in his kitty.
