The young and dashing Dulquer Salmaan is arguably one of the most popular stars in Mollywood today. And, soon, he’ll be making his Bollywood debut with the eagerly-awaited ‘Karwaan’. The film is touted to a light-hearted comedy and will see DQ share screen space with versatile Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan. While all of us are waiting for its release, it seems that DQ has already bagged his second Hindi film. According to a leading daily, the young sensation has been roped in to star opposite Bollywood diva Sonam Kapoor in a film based on the popular novel ‘The Zoya Factor’. Talking about this, a source said that DQ has indeed shown an interest but is yet to sign the dotted line.
“It’s an interesting character and Dulquer has liked the script. While he has committed to the project he is yet to sign on the dotted line,” added the source.
Well, this is some awesome news and is bound to create a buzz amongst fans. We sincerely hope that things work out for DQ-Sonam will indeed make a terrific pair on the big screen.On a related note, this is a busy time for Sonam as well as DQ. The ‘Solo’ star currently has ‘Mahanati’ in his kitty. The film is based on the life of actress Savitri and will see him essay a character based on ‘Kadhal Mannan’ Gemini Ganesan. Sometime ago, he had said that he will not be mimicking the yesteryear actor in ‘Mahanati’.
On the other hand, Sonam is currently gearing up for the release of ‘Pad Man’. The film is a Balki directorial and will see her share screen space with Bollywood star Akshay Kumar. Touching upon the sensitive issue of menstrual hygiene, it will hit screens in February.
