Dulquer Salmaan on Solo’s climax been altered without the director’s consent: It is very unfair and sad

During a recent interaction with Indian Express, Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan said that altering the climax of ‘Solo’ without director Bejoy Nambiar’s consent was an unfair move on the part of the producers. He went on to add that it was an act of taking away the creative freedom of an artiste.

“It is very unfair and sad, which is why I felt I had to speak out. This is not something that is unheard of. In Malayalam, this has happened before. It is not like my film is the first project to have seen something like this. But what do you do? It is like taking away creativity from an artiste. But what can I do? I can only express my sadness about it. I don’t have any control over it,” added the young star.

Well, these are some strong words and prove that Dulquer is firmly behind his director. In case you did not know, ‘Solo’ is a romantic-thriller and hit screens of October 5. An anthology of four stories it was one of the most significant releases of DQ’s career. Sadly, it received a mixed response upon release. Besides Dulquer, it also features Shruthi Hariharan and Sai Dhanshika in the lead.

On a related note, Dulquer will next be seen in ‘Mahanati’ which is based on the life of yesteryear actress Savitri and features Keerthy Suresh in the lead.
