During a recent interaction with a leading daily, actor Dulquer Salmaan opened up about his personal life and revealed how he became friends with Tamil actor Vikram Prabhu. Talking about how this friendship blossomed, DQ said that he first met the ‘Kumki’ star in acting school but refrained from telling him that he was Mammootty’s son. Dulquer went on to add that once he revealed his identity, the friendship grew even stronger. The Malayalam heartthrob also stressed that two are still buddies and have even toyed with the idea of doing a movie together.
“Finally, we were just walking to Prithvi Theatre to watch a play and he said, ‘Please just tell me, who you are. Enough of the suspense.’ And then I broke the news! I still remember he gave me a tight hug. And now, we are good family friends and our wives are close, too. We also have ideas of working together if the right story comes by,” he added.
Well, that is a sweet revelation and we hope that they remain on good terms for a long time to come.
On a related note, Dulquer is currently gearing up for the release of ‘Solo’. A romantic-thriller, it has been directed by Bejoy Nambiar and is a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual. In it, DQ will be seen alongside Neha Sharma and Shruthi Hariharan. As far as Vikram Prabhu is concerned, he will next be seen in the action-comedy ‘Pakka’. The film also features Nikki Galrani and Soori in the lead.
