Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan will soon be seen in the eagerly-awaited ‘Solo’. And, as expected, he is quite excited about the same. During a recent interaction with a leading website, the young star revealed that he agreed to do ‘Solo’ as he is a fan of director Bejoy Nambiar and felt that his decision to make an anthology was a pretty brave one.
“I don’t see many people interested in doing an anthology with one actor and Bejoy was also excited that I was willing to give it a shot. It’s our excitement to attempt something different that brought us together,” he added.
Besides this, Dulquer added that even though anthology films are not too common, the audience will accept ‘Solo’. He further quipped that doing a film like ‘Solo’ gives him the courage to experiment even more with his work.
“I have been trying to entertain audiences with memorable content. These are the kind of films that give me more courage. I’m more afraid to attempt an out-and-out commercial film. I feel it can either click or go all the way down. When you pick good content, irrespective of its box-office fate, people at least appreciate the intent, its effort or just the desire to make good cinema,” added DQ.
Well, we hope that Dulquer manages to impress fans with ‘Solo’ and makes a mark with his performance.
In case you did not know, ‘Solo’ is a romantic-thriller and has been shot simultaneously in Tamil and Malayalam. Besides DQ, it also features Neha Sharma and Shruthi Hariharan in the lead.
