Mollywood heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan, who was on a long break after the birth of his daughter Maryam, is now signing back to back Malayalam films. The actor is all set to return to the big screen and has reportedly signed Take Off director Mahesh Narayanan’s next directorial. The shooting of the film will go on floors next year. Dulquer has amazing projects lined up including BC Noufal’s film and Srinath Rajendran’s movie on Sukumaran Kurup.
Director Mahesh Narayanan’s critically-acclaimed Take Off had won a special mention at the National Film awards 2018. It has also bagged the National award for best production design. It would be interesting to know what the director has in store for the audience this time with Dulquer Salmaan as a male lead actor.
Meanwhile, Dulquer has geared up for the release of his Bollywood film, Karwaan starring very talented Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar in the lead roles. The much-awaited trailer got released recently and it received a positive response from the audience on social media.
‘Karwaan’ is a light-hearted drama about a road trip. It’s a story about three people from different walks of life meeting on a road trip. The film will also mark Mithila Palkar’s Bollywood debut. An Akarsh Khurana directorial, it also features Amala Akkineni in a key role. Besides, it is also the directorial debut of Akarsh Khurana – the dialogue writer for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and 2 States. A major part of the movie has been shot in Kochi and Ootty.
Dulquer will also be shooting for the Bollywood film, The Zoya Factor that stars Sonam Kapoor in the lead and the Tamil movie, Vaan.
Dulquer was last seen in Telugu hit, Mahanati. Based on the life of legendary actress Savitri, the film also starred Keerthy Suresh, Samantha and Vijay Devarakonda.
