We all know the current situation of Kerala that has left many homeless. Celebrities have been trying their best to support the people affected in Kerala floods. Malayalam heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan recently took to social media to express how unhappy he is for not being in Kerala to help people. The Karwaan actor in a social media post wrote about being far away from Kerala and that how it is killing him. Despite being a part of the cause, the actor was heavily trolled for not helping in the situation.

However, Dulquer Salmaan did not take the negativity so easily and slammed people for spreading negativity. Dulquer Salmaan wrote, “To all those who think because I’m not physically present that I’m not helping I have nothing to prove to the likes of you. Atleast in a time like this when we are all trying our best and coming together and becoming one, keep out your negativity, hate and judgement. The ones writing these comments are nowhere near any of the relief camps or the affected areas. So by attacking others it doesn’t make you better than them.”

Mammootty and his son Dulquer Salmaan recently contributed to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF). The Ernakulam District Collector, K Mohammed Y Safirulla, took to Facebook to announce the same. Mammootty himself handed over the cheque to Ernakulam District Collector. He wrote, “Film stars Mammootty donated 15 lakhs rupees and Dulquer Salman 10 lakhs rupees to Chief Minister’s Distress Relief fund, today, at Collectorate Ernakulam.”
On the other hand, Dulquer also asked people to help the people of Kerala to contribute to the CMDRF. “As the state of Kerala is in a situation where it is experiencing unprecedent monsoon, please donate generously to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF),” said Dulquer in his Facebook post.

If he hadn’t posted this, no one would’ve known

These guys are loaded – they should’ve given more or just not spoken about it. Do it quietly. So many are doing it quietly.

We should not troll or judge people for their contribution….No wonder most celebrities keep mum on the amount they contribute…They will be trolled if they didn’t announce the amount or if they announce the amount…Its like damned if they don’t damned if they do…I hope people should stop being negative and judgemental all the time…

Even Keerthy Suresh gave 10L

Only whole hearted and voluntary contribution counts! We should not criticise the contribution !
Our ultimate aim is to rescue Kerala! Of course Tamils seem to be more generous! Generally they are more accomodative!

He should just ignore the trolls then – why respond to everything?

Agree, they are very generous. So are the Telugu actors.

Stop judging by what you just read and what’s in the news. He knows his ways to sent help to the ones in need directly than just only contributing to the Cm relief fund and advertising that. Common! give him his space

Mammooty only advertised the 15+10 L initially right. Either don’t advertise at all like Tovino etc have done. Else make sure its sizable given they are super rich. They own hospitals and several other enterperises in Chennai and cochin, 10L is peanuts for them

I saw people commenting about the amount they contribute and why they are not contributing etc…Thats why they are forced to advertise…publicise..

I like him a lot but do feel he and Mamooty could’ve contributed more

Oh shut up Dulquer! So much money and all you donate is 10L! Actors like Siddharth who’re not even from the state have donated the same amount – you really should’ve given more in kind to a state that you and your dad owe so much to.
