Are you a fan of the dashing Dulquer Salmaan? If yes, then get ready to rejoice as we have some awesome news in store for you. In an exciting development, the makers of his maiden Bollywood film ‘Karwaan’ have announced that it will hit screens on June 1 this year and created quite a buzz amongst movie buffs. Well, just like countless DQ fans, we too are happy about this and hope that the young star conquers B-town the same way he’s conquered Mollywood.
In case you did not know, ‘Karwaan’ is touted to be a light-hearted road drama and has been directed by Akarsh Khurana. In it, DQ will be seen alongside Irfan Khan and ‘Girl In The City’ star Mithila Palkar.
Sometime ago, the director had said that he decided to cast DQ based on his performance in ‘Charlie’.
“I have been following Dulquer for a while after Mani Ratnam’s O Kadhal Kanmani. And I really loved his movie, Charlie. He has showcased a fantabulous performance in it. Then I watched his movies, Bangalore days, Kammattipaadam and so on…He is the perfect cast for the movie,” he had told a leading daily.
Interestingly, even though DQ has the potential to be a big thing in B-town, he has no plans of shifting to Bollywood fulltime. Sometime ago, he had said that Malayalam cinema will always be his home.
“There is enormous talent here. I am here only to do good work. I do not want to lose my focus in the Malayalam film industry. That is where I primarily work. I will work in Tamil and Hindi only based on the work I get offered,” he had added.
