Superintendent of Police, AV George—who is one of key officials investigating the actress assault case, just issued an important statement and made it clear that the cops already have enough evidence against Dileep. He went on to add that they would not have arrested a star of Dileep’s stature without ample evidence. While George refused to reveal the specifics of the probe, he seemed confident that things were heading in the right direction.
Well, based on this statement it seems that Dileep may get into more trouble in the days to come.
In case you did not know, earlier this year, a popular Malayalam actress was abducted and molested while on her way to Kochi. This created a buzz in the industry and soon AMMA organised a protest meet, condemning the incident.
At the event, Manju Warrier spoke about how there was a conspiracy behind the whole case and urged AMMA to take action. Dileep’s worries began when the main accused Pulsar Suni tried reaching out to him from jail.
Last week, on Monday, cops called him for questioning and arrested him thereafter. Following this, he was sentenced to 14 days in judicial custody. As a result of all this, he was dismissed from AMMA and that too in the most unceremonious manner. To makes matters worse for Dileep, a court in Angamaly refused to grant him bail and asked him to remain in judicial custody. The superstar has now approached the HC in his matter. His plea will be heard soon.
All in all, the next few days could go a long way in determining Dileep’s personal and professional future.
