In a shocking news, a Malayalam TV actress has been arrested over an illegal activity along with her sister and mother. According to media reports, The actress, Surya Sasikumar, her sister, Shruthi and their mother Rema Devi, were arrested recently for allegedly printing counterfeit notes at their home in Kerala. Reportedly, the notes worth Rs 57 Lakhs have been printed there in a few months. The fake notes of Rs 500 denomination have been printed there in just eight months and so. –
Reports suggest police raided the house at around 3 am on Tuesday and have seized a computer, printer, ink and a fake RBI seal used for the counterfeiting. The upper portion of the actress’s house was used for the illegal activity and major involvement in this act of the mother of the actress.
“She had allowed the upper portion of her premises at Kollam to be used for the illegal activity. She had also financed the cost for printing by spending about Rs 4.36 lakh,” the official said. –
“Over half a dozen more accused will soon be nabbed,” he further stated.
Idukki Police chief KB Venugopal said, Fake currency notes in various stages of printing and materials, which can be used for printing the fake notes, to the tune of Rs 7 crore, were also seized from their residence at Kollam –
Police managed to find the involvement of the Malayalam TV actress only after three men, including a former soldier, had been arrested in the fake currency notes. During the interrogation, they revealed the name of three women. –
