Malayalam cinema witnessed few impressive films being made, one of them being ‘Take Off’ starring Fahadh Faasil and Parvathy TK. And similarly, there was Jomonte Suvisheshangal starring Dulquer Salmaan and Anupama Parameswaran that grabbed some attention too. And these films had actresses make headlines with their performances and won many hearts. While Parvathy stole the show with her act in ‘Take Off’, Manju Warrier did make her presence felt in ‘Villain’ starring Mohanlal. Likewise, Anupama Parameswaran had a pretty role in Jomonte Suvisheshangal and Amala Paul had a contributing role in ‘Achayans’. We take a look back at those films in 2017 where the leading ladies made impressive appearances and delivered stunning performances too.

Anupama, lately, has appeared in more of Telugu cinema than Malayalam, however, she did appear in Jomonte Suvisheshangal which had Dulquer in the lead role. The pretty actress looked cute in her role as Catherine in the film and delivered an impressive performance too.

Priya Anand:

Priya made her debut in Malayalam cinema with Ezra which has Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead. The film was a huge success and stands as the highest grosser in Malayalam this year. Priya Anand, known for her matured acting, had the best of start in Mollywood and left the Malayalam movie-buffs asking for more.

She doesn’t need an introduction. ‘Take Off’ got her an award at the International Film Festival of Indian in Goa this year. And she also made her debut in Bollywood alongside Irfan Khan in ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ and was well appreciated for her acting skills. It just keeps getting better every year for Parvathy.

Aishwarya Rajesh:

Aishwarya made her debut in Malayalam with Dulquer’s Jomonte Suvisheshingal and seems to have impressed the Malayalam cinema lovers. Aishwarya soon made another appearance in Malayalam this year again with Sakhavu, which also had Dulquer Salmaan, but in a cameo. Aishwarya had a good start to her career in Malayalam cinema and seems to be on the rise.

Manju Warrier:

After having made a comeback in films with the 2014 release How Old Are You, Manju’s career has only been on the rise. This year, Manju was seen in three films – C/O Saira Banu, Udaharanam Sujatha and Villain. And Manju impressed the Malayalam audience with her performances in all the three films.
