Nearly three days after been arrested in connection with the Malayalam actress assault case, actor Dileep has been expelled from Film Exhibitors United Organization of Kerala (FEUOK) and replaced by Perumbavoor. .
Confirming the same, Perambavoor assured fans that the recent developments would not affect the fate of Dileep’s ‘Ramleela’. Moreover, he made it clear that they would help the makers of the film if need arises
“The producers of the film have not yet approached FEUOK for the release. We will extend all support,” he added while talking to the media.
Interestingly, Film Exhibitors United Organization of Kerala was Dileep’s brainchild. He launched the body after leading a rebellion in the Kerala Film Exhibitors’ Federation (KFEF,) this year.
In case you did not know, this February, a popular Mollywood actress was molested and assaulted while on her way to Kochi. As expected, this created a buzz in the industry. Dileep came under the radar when the chief suspect/accused Pulsar Suni tried contacting him while in prison. Earlier this week, the cops called him for questioning and arrested him, thereafter. Following this, the executive committee of AMMA decided to expel him from the group. Confirming his removal, megastar Mammootty had said that he was removed in light of the recent developments.
“Dileep has been removed from the primary membership of AMMA in view of his arrest. We will never favour a particular section of people in AMMA. The organization is for all,” he had added.
All in all, Dilleep’s removal from his own group suggests that his colleagues are distancing themselves from him.
