Malayalam superstar Dileep is undoubtedly going through a terrible phase on the personal front these days. Yesterday, he was interrogated by cops in connection with the infamous actress assault case and arrested thereafter. Following this, earlier today, the court sentenced him to judicial custody for 14 days. To make matters worse, seven actors attended an emergency meeting of AMMA and expelled him from the body.

Now, there is some more bad news for Dileep’s fans. According to Manorama, his ex-wife and noted actress Manju Warrier may soon move court in order to seek custody of her daughter Meenakshi. As per sources close to her, she will be going down this route in light of Dileep being arrested.

In case you did not know, Dileep and Manju—who had tied the knot in 1998– were granted divorced in 2015. Following this, Meenakshi decided to stay with her dad. Manju had accepted her decision as she was in ‘safe hands’. However, in light of the recent developments, the ‘How old are you?’ star is concerned about her safety.

On a related note, shortly after the assault case, Manju had attended a protest meet organised by AMMA and condemned the incident. At the event, she had stressed that there was some kind of conspiracy behind the kidnapping. Moreover, she had urged AMMA to ensure that the victim got justice. He had also added that it is imperative to ensure that women remain safe at work and at home.
