Dulquer Salmaan—who is one of the most popular young stars in Malayalam cinema, will soon be making Bollywood debut alongside Irrfan Khan in ‘Karwaan’. And, as expected, this has created a buzz amongst fans. During a recent chat with a leading daily, Irrfan opened up about his rapport with DQ and said that he shares a great equation with him.He went on to add that he really enjoyed shooting for ‘Karwaan’ in Kerala as the weather was awesome.
“We share a great equation and we have a lot of fun together. The movie is based on a road trip. It starts from Bangalore, goes to Kochi and to several other places. While shooting in Kerala, the weather was nice and it was raining so we got to have fun. I must say that Kerala is one of the best states in the country,” he added.
He went on to add that he is open to working in Tamil films as he loves challenging himself as an artiste.
“I don’t want to come and do regular Tamil films. I have got several offers in the past, though nothing materialised. But I am open and hope things will happen,” he added.
Well, that is quite a nice answer and proves that Irrfan is passionate about cinema. On a related note, this is a busy time for DQ. Besides ‘Karwaan’, he also has ‘Mahanati’ in his kitty. The film is based on the life of yesteryear actress Savitri and will see Dulquer essay a character modelled on Gemini Ganesan.
