Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming film Detorit Crossing is said to be about the gang wars in the US involving Tamilians residing there. The film is being directed by Nirmal Sachdev and Prithviraj will be seen playing the lead role. Actress Mamta Mohandas was roped in to play the lead role in Detroit Crossing and according to latest reports, the actress might not be a part of this project. According to reports in the media, Mamta Mohandas has opted out Detroit Crossing due to date issues.
Reports indicate that the schedules of the shooting for the film were postponed by few days and the actress could not allocate dates for the revised schedules, and eventually had to opt out. After Mamta opted out, the makers have now roped in Isha Talwar for the lead role in Detroit Crossing. “Our movie got pushed a bit and the dates clashed with that of the movie Carbon for Mamta. She had to opt out and Isha Talwar is on board, instead. We have started shoot and she is doing a great job,” a report in TOI quoted directed Nirmal Sachdev.
Isha Talwar is pretty excited about the developments and says she could not believe it for some time that it was happening. “Everything happened quickly. When I got a call from Nirmal last month, I thought someone is pranking me. Then Prithviraj texted me and again I thought it’s a spam message. It took a while to realise that this is a genuine offer,” the same report quoted Isha Talwar.
