Kerala High Court to hear bail plea of actor Dileep on Thursday, July 20

The high court bench has asked for some time to study the case thoroughly before the hearing on Thursday.

Court sends actor Dileep to judicial remand for 14 days

After the bail plea of actor Dileep was rejected by the Angamaly court on Saturday, Dileep’s counsel have now approached the high court for a bail. The high court has now posted a single bench to hear the bail plea and on getting the application the prosecution said that they would need time to study the case. The court has announced that the bail plea of Dileep will be heard on Thursday and will take a call at that point in time.

The superstar of Malayalam, Dileep, was arrested last Monday and was remanded to 14 days judicial custody for conspiring in the abduction and molestation of a popular Malayalam actress in February in Kochi while she was traveling in her car to her home.

The police on Monday also took statements from two legislators, Congress leader Anwar Sadath who is close friend of Dileep, and Mukesh – a CPI-M backed legislator. “I answered all questions that were asked,” said Sadath, who represents Aluva Assembly constituency from where Dileep hails. Mukesh said that he was asked about Pulsar Suni and he has cooperated with the police in the investigation.

The Aluva police have are working at a rapid pace on the Malayalam actress case to ensure that the conspirators are caught and the case is closed as soon as possible. Police officials claim that they have enough evidence against Dileep that will prove him guilty in the Malayalam actress assault and kidnap case.
