Kerala State Awards 2018: Parvathy, Lijo Jose and Indrans strike gold at the awards

Lijo Jose bagged the Best Director Award for his film E Ma You while Ottamuri Velicham won the Best Film award this year while Mahesh Narayanan won the Best Debut Director award for his much acclaimed and superhit film Take Off.

Kerala State Awards 2018: Parvathy, Lijo Jose and Indrans strike gold at the awards

The Kerala state government announced the Kerala State Awards for the year 2018 recognising the films, the makers and actors for 2017. Much to the joy of fans of Malayalam cinema, many hit films and talented actors and technicians won the awards this year. Parvathy won the Best Actor – Female award for her role in Take Off while Indrans bagged the same award in Male category for his intense performance in Aalorukkam. Lijo Jose bagged the Best Director Award for his film E Ma You while Ottamuri Velicham won the Best Film award this year. Mahesh Narayanan won the Best Debut Director award for his much acclaimed and superhit film Take Off that starred Parvathy and is an adaptation of the story of stranded nurses in Iraq. Best popular film – Rakshadhikari Baiju

Best Actor – Indrans (Aalorukkam)

Best character actor – Alencier Ley (Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum)

Best character actress – Pauly Valsan ( Ee Ma Yau)

Best child actors – Master Abhinad (Swanam), Nakshatra (Rakshadhikari Baiju)

Best Director – Lijo Jose Pallissery ( Ee Ma Yau)

Best debut director – Mahesh Narayanan (Take Off)

Best cinematographer – Manesh Madhavan

Best script – Sajeev Paravoor (Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum)

Best adopted screenplay – Eden ( S Harish, Sanju Surendran)

Best composer – M K Arjunan (Bhayanakam)

Best Movie Director is Rahul Riji Nair not Rahul G Nair
