It’s a rare sight to watch Super Stars of two different film industries collaborating and working on a film. And more so if that’s the costliest film ever made in Indian cinema. Yes, we are talking about Mahabharatha which stars Mohanlal in the mythological role of Bheema. Director of the film, Shrikumar Menon, is trying to rope in bigger stars from other industries for the role of Lord Krishna.
According to reports, Shrikumar Menon has plans of casting Mahesh Babu or Hrithik Roshan in the epic film and has initiated to approach the Stars. Considering the kind of roles Mahesh Babu has done in his career, it might be tough for him to take up this challenging role. Mahesh Babu has voiced out many times that he wants to choose different characters in his career, and maybe this character is the right one for him given the stature of the film.
Hrithik Roshan has done historic roles in Jodha Akbar and Mohenjo Daro. He might consider taking the offer up provided his prior commitments don’t become a hurdle. If he does, then Mahabharatha will stand out as a milestone in his career.
Mohanlal posted a video message on his social networking page and made an official announcement about Mahabharatha. The film will be an adaptation of a book named Randamoozham which is written by MT Vasudevan Nair. This mammoth film will be bankrolled by BR Shetty. The narration of the story in the film will be from the perspective of Bheema which is being portrayed by Mohanlal.
