Malayalam heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan will spread his wings this year and make his debut in Telugu and Bollywood. Mahanati, which is the biopic on yesteryear South Indian actor Savitri, will mark Dulquer’s debut in Tollywood and will have him playing the role of Gemini Ganesan, Savitri’s husband. Directed by Nag Ashwin, Mahanati is one of the most awaited for films in South Indian cinema because of obvious reasons and is sure the best way to make a debut in Telugu for Dulquer Salmaan. Mahanati will be released in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam as well and is slated to hit the screens on May 9th, 2018 worldwide. Dulquer has played the role of Gemini Ganesan in different timelines from 1950s to 1980s. And the bigger news is Dulquer is dubbing for himself in the film which has created huge excitement around the film.

It will also be Bollywood calling for Dulquer Salmaan this year and will be seen making his debut with Karwan co-starring Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar. Directed by Akarsh Khurana, Karwan wil be a travel film and will be about three friends who are on a road trip. Karwan will have Dulquer Salmaan playing a young man from Bangalore and will be an interesting role for him.

The Zoya Factor – This will be Dulquer’s second film in Bollywood after Karwan and will be alongside Sonam Kapoor. The film will be an adaptation of a book with the same title written by Anuja Chauhan. The expectations on the film are quite high since the book is one of the bestsellers in the recent past.

And then Dulquer also has the Tamil film, Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, which is another romcom directed by Desingh Periasamy. Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal also stars Ritu Varma as the love interest of Dulquer Salmaan.
