Malayalam actor Dileep is undoubtedly going through a terrible phase in life these days. On Monday, cops arrested him in connection with the infamous actress abduction case. And, just hours later, a court sentenced him to 14 days in judicial custody.
Now, there is more bad news for his fans. According to Indian Express, an Angamalay court has dismissed his bail plea. Moreover, he will now have to spend two days in police custody. The cops had requested the court to grant them his custody for three days. However, it seems that the court gave them his custody for 2 days only. The cops are likely to take Dileep to Kochi and Thrissur in order to gather evidence.
In case you did know, this February, a popular actress was kidnapped and assaulted in a car while on her way to Kochi. Needless to say, this ruffled quite a few feathers and created a buzz in the industry. A few days later, AMMA organised a protest meet and condemned the incident. During the event, Manju Warrier stated that there was a conspiracy behind the attack and asked AMMA to ensure that justice prevailed.
Dileep’s woes began when the main accused Pulsar Suni tried contacting him from prison. On Monday, cops called Dileep for questioning and arrested him. Following this, some Malayalam stars attended an emergency meeting of AMMA and expelled Dileep from the organisation.
Interestingly, amidst all this, Dileep has claimed that he is innocent and will soon prove his innocence. Well, let us wait and watch how things play out in the days to come.
