The Kerala High Court, yesterday, heard actor Dileep’s bail plea in the infamous actress assault case and decided to retain judgement on the matter.

According to reports, the star’s counsel  argued that he had been framed in order to ruin his illustrious career. On the other hand, the prosecutor had claimed that Dileep was the brain behind the assault and highlighted the evidence against him. The prosecutor went on to state that if Dileep was granted bail, it would harmper the investigation of the case. It remains to be seen what stand the court takes on the matter.

Interestingly, while commenting on the case, Director General of Prosecution said that the case marks the first time that a quotation has been given for carrying out rape.

“It was for the first time in the history of criminal law a quotation had been given for committing rape. Dileep’s name will be written in the history books if he is convicted in the case as his act is a rare incident,” added the Director General of Prosecution.

In case you did not know, this February, a noted Malayalam actress was assaulted and abducted while on her way to Kochi. Dileep came under the radar when the main accused Pulsar Suni claimed that he was the mastermind behind the incident.

Last week, the ‘Love 24×7’ star was arrested in connection with the case. To make matters worse, an Angalamy court soon rejected his bail plea and sent him back to judicial custody. Following this, he had approached the High Court and requested that he be granted bail.

It goes without saying that this is a sensitive situation and it’ll be worth watching what happens next.

Why should anyone frame him only to spoil his career. If that is the case there are other bigger actors like mamooty and mohanlal
