A timeline of the events in the assault case of Malayalam actress and how Dileep was arrested

The infamous Malayalam actress assault case seems to have taken yet another turn. According to a leading website, the cops have recovered a memory card that allegedly contained photos of the victim while she was being sexually assaulted. However, according to the cops, there were no images on the card when they found it. They have sent the card to the forensics department to determine were the images were erased from it.

Interestingly, this has happened just days after the Police claimed that actor Dileep had received a mobile containing visuals of the assault through his lawyer who is currently absconding.

In case you did not know,  this February, a noted Malayalam actress was abducted and assaulted while on her way to Kochi. This created a buzz in the industry and soon AMMA organised a protest meet, criticising the incident. At the event, Manju Warrier spoke about how there was a conspiracy behind the whole case and urged AMMA to take action. Dileep’s worries began when the main accused Pulsar Suni tried contacting him from jail.

Last week, on Monday, cops called him for questioning and arrested him thereafter. Following this, he was sentenced to 14 days in judicial custody. As a result of all this, he was dismissed from AMMA and that too in an unceremonious way.

To makes matters worse for Dileep, a court in Angamaly refused to grant him bail and asked him to remain in judicial custody. The star has now approached the HC in his matter. His plea will be heard on Thursday.

Well, this a shocking situation and it will be worth watching what happens next.
