Actor Dileep is currently out now on bail in the Malayalam actress assault case after having spent close to three months in jail. Dileep was recently allowed by the court to travel abroad, which he might have had to for his film shootings. According to latest developments, the police officials investigating the case have now filed a supplementary charge sheet in which they have named Dileep as the 8th accused in the case and, interestingly, have named Dileep’s ex-wife Manju Warrier as a key witness in the case. The Special Investigating Team (SIT) will also submit an additional charge sheet to the court in the Malayalam actress assault case.
This development of Manju Warrier being names as a key witness in the Malayalam actress abduction case has come as a surprise since not many were expecting it. Dileep, after coming out on bail, had said that few people from the Malayalam industry had hatched a conspiracy against him in this case and indirectly hinted at Manju Warrier too. And this development of naming Manju Warrier as the key witness comes as a big blow to the actor.
Also, Dileep had recently written to the Home Secretary about the case and asked the government to start a CID probe into the case. Dileep has mentioned in his latter that he has been trapped by the police officials and he is innocent. Dileep also has named the officers – ADGP Sandhya, DGP Loknath Behera and Ernakulam Rural SP George – in his latter as the ones who have implicated him into the case.
